Caregiver Trade Training

Caregivers are being trained on trades in Bangladesh!

In July 2023, Compassion told our supporters about ten child development centers in Bangladesh supporting families devastated by pandemic and inflation-exacerbated hunger. Many children were malnourished, falling behind their peers in height and weight. Our local partners wanted to equip children’s caregivers to earn stable incomes so they could feed their families and that is when generous supporters, like you, stepped in.

Because of the generosity of our supporters, a well-researched plan to improve food security and increase household incomes is funded and being put into place. Caregivers are beginning to learn trades like raising livestock, gardening and making handicrafts. In addition to training, caregivers are starting to receive the tools they need to start their businesses, which is enabling them to better support their children.

With sincerity, we thank our generous donors for supporting these churches in Bangladesh as they act as the hands and feet of Jesus to their communities.
