In August 2023, Compassion told our supporters about an urgent need for maternal care and a well-researched plan to provide this care for children and mothers in Honduras.
Because of the generosity of our supporters, maternal care is beginning to be provided to 176 children and their caregivers across nine child development centers! These moms and their babies in the Survival program are receiving medical care, proper training, and support in breastfeeding among other newborn care.
We will continue to update this page as we receive more information from our local church partners as the maternal care is provided and community transformation progresses.
